Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-02-26 · Last updated: 2026-03-03
By accessing or using Etiqa (“the Service”), operated by Etiqa Health (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service scope
Etiqa provides informational grocery-product scores, explanations, and comparisons for general wellness awareness. Scores are generated algorithmically from publicly available nutrition data and adapted Nutri-Score v2 methodology. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
2. Not medical advice
Etiqa does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. Scores are algorithmic estimates and should not replace the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. See our Medical & Nutrition Disclaimer for full details.
3. Beta & early access
The Service is currently in beta. During this period:
- Product coverage, scoring outputs, and features may change without notice.
- Data quality is actively improving and scores may be revised.
- The Service may experience interruptions or downtime.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the beta at any time.
4. User responsibilities
- Always verify product labels and ingredient details before making personal decisions.
- Use the Service lawfully and avoid abusive, fraudulent, or disruptive use.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
- Do not misrepresent Etiqa scores as official certifications, endorsements, or medical opinions.
5. Intellectual property
All content, scoring algorithms, data compilations, branding, logos, and design elements of the Service are the property of Etiqa Health or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.
All third-party product names, brand names, and trademarks referenced within the Service belong to their respective owners. Their presence in our database does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship.
6. Data accuracy
We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that product data, nutrition information, or scores are complete, current, or error-free. Product formulations change, data sources may contain errors, and scoring models are periodically updated. You acknowledge and accept these limitations.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Etiqa Health and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, health outcomes, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Etiqa Health from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
9. Third-party content & links
The Service may contain links to or data sourced from third parties. We do not control or endorse third-party content and assume no responsibility for its accuracy or availability.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Panama City, Panama.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
